Jürgen Klopp Decision Announcement.
After Vladimir Putin, my next model is Jürgen Norbet Klopp. I have been lynched and ribbed about the Putin choice and that is a story for another day.
Klopp is leaving Liverpool FC after 9½ years and the announcement has met a lot of emotive responses but I understand his stance and in a way support it and the reasons are:
1. Leaders with balls know when to call it in.
One blatant and fatal flow with leaders is running on empty for fear of what the constituents will say. Bad call.
2. Focus on yourself – be selfish.
For matters relating to emotional or even mental health one must never forgo ensuring that they come first.
3. End on a high note.
Nothing beats the melody of the last orchestra tune before and abrupt stop, lights out and the show ends. LFC owes Klopp that and he has set the stage.
4. Leadership is more to legacy than longevity.
I celebrate a man who has created a legacy than the one who has stayed the length of their mandate.
5. Klopp and Klopp!!
A visionary must be able to know when their role in a vision is done. The fax once reigned, then the SMS topped, then Covid brought online meetings and killed landline bills but AI is currently calling the shots. We clap for the forerunners but when a Postal service still intends to make money via postage stamps and letters in mail boxes none will clap for them!
6. Succession.
This is about building the grounds for greater and better things than anointing a prince. Klopp has done that.
I celebrate 🍾 him!!!
