Meanwhile, the fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must never go out. Each morning the priest will add fresh wood to the fire and arrange the burnt offering on it. He will then burn the fat of the peace offerings on it. Remember, the fire must be kept burning on the altar at all times. It must never go out.

An effort must be made to keep the fire going. The fire must never go out! God demanded a priest, an anointed person to add fresh wood every day. What is fresh wood 🪵? Prayers. Praise. Worship. Faith with works. The wood must feed the fire unending. The priestly office was a life time appointment. Our role in God is 24/7
Priests could only mourn their direct relatives because service demanded they be in God’s presence.
Do not catch the wrong fire!
Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu put coals of fire in their incense burners and sprinkled incense over them. In this way, they disobeyed the Lord by burning before him the wrong kind of fire, different than he had commanded. So fire blazed forth from the Lord’s presence and burned them up, and they died there before the Lord. Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord meant when he said, ‘I will display my holiness through those who come near me. I will display my glory before all the people.’” And Aaron was silent.

Jesus commands that we stay until we are grounded and empowered. The same empowerment he gave his disciples after a full night of toiling and catching nothing and He said to cast the nets into the same waters for a powerful harvest
Catch the right fire and be enabled!
“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”
Acts of the Apostles 2:1-2, 4 NLT
